Harlan’s Fine Chocolates and Gelato was established in 1980 on beautiful Salt Spring Island, B.C.
Harlan himself opened this cute little shop back when the Islands population was just 5,000 people. Every community needs a sweet spot to treat themselves or friends and family and Harlan’s has been just the place!
It has grown to be an island landmark and a place of tradition for the young and young at heart.
Fast forward 40 + years to today and you will find a bustling community. With strong rural roots and a foundation grown on a balance with the natural environment.
Over the years Harlans has grown along with this community and the current owner Trish Bielicki has been honoured to carry the chocolate torch. With training at Ecole Chocolate and a Chocolate Kitchen Crew, she has endeavored to build on the line first created by Harlan himself (where Trish had her first job packaging at the age of 14 ). Her mission has been to create chocolates that celebrate the West Coast. This inspired line is made with UTZ certified chocolates and packaged with only biodegradable packaging whenever possible.
